Magnificent Mauritius - Aisling's Recent Trip

Our manager Aisling has just returned from a fabulous trip to Mauritius with Beachcomber. She absolutely loved it! Aisling visited all 8 Beachcomber resorts in Mauritius and below has wrote a quick summary of each of them. Her favourite was Paradis and you can see her pictures below too. Royal Palm beachcomber

A member of the ‘The leading hotels of the world’  …a fabulous 5* hotel offering the ultimate luxury for the discerning traveller. The hotel boasts 3 restaurants offering exceptional cuisine, 3 heated pools, Clarins Spa and situated on a fabulous beach, private, exclusive and totally discreet with only 69 suites, you will receive impeccable service with 3 staff members per guest. For those looking to be more active, there are many complimentary land and water sports available. Only 1 hour 20 mins from the airport

Victoria Beachcomber

A stunning hotel with a friendly atmosphere and with only 295 suites  with 4 superb restaurants and you can dine on a half board basis or upgrade to all inclusive. The hotel is great for families with small kids with large rooms and spacious family apartments available with of course a complimentary kids club to keep the children entertained. The beach is great for all ages, with pure white sand and shallow water with many watersports complimentary. Victoria is also ideal for couples and honeymooners as a brand new section of the hotel has now opened called ‘Victoria for 2’ which has 23 Ocean view rooms and 17 swim up rooms and dedicated adult only restaurant. Complimentary wifi in all rooms and offering a beautiful Spa.

Cannonnier beachcomber

Canonnier lies at the tip of a historic peninsula, complete with an ancient lighthouse, ruined fortress and remains of cannons  from long ago battles. Beautiful lush gardens and cascading pools. The hotel has 283 rooms and suites, 3 restaurants offering half board or all inclusive and you will also have the freedom to dine in two other beachcomber hotels. Again, complimentary Wi fi and kids clubs the hotel boasts a unique and stunning spa, plenty of exciting land and watersports available plus reduced green fees on the beautiful course – Mont Choisy Le Golf which is only a few minutes from the hotel. With a relaxed and informal atmosphere, this hotel will appeal to families, older couples, weddings and honeymoons.  

Paradis beachcomber – My favourite

The setting is simply breathtaking, lying at the tip of beautiful Le Morne Peninsula on a long stretch of soft white sand, surrounded by a crystal lagoon and in the backdrop – the awesome Le Morne mountain. The hotel has 280 rooms plus 13 exclusive villas, with 4 restaurants on offer but this is doubled when you can dine in the adjoining Dinarobin resort. For golfers, the spectacular 18 hole Paradis golf course is a mere putt away from reception, an amazing spa is on offer with numerous land and water sports to avail of.  The children are also well looked after, stunning shallow waters, pristine beaches as far as the eye can see and a complimentary kids club.

Trou aux Biches

Located on one of the best beaches in the island, Trou aux Biches, spectacular sunsets, shimmering lagoon and pristine white sand – this is a perfect tropical paradise. This romantic resort has everything you need for both couples and families. Close to the lively Grand Baie and Port Louis, great Kids and teen clubs and superb cuisine in no less than 6 restaurants. The hotel has 306 suites plus 27 exclusive villas, from Tropical junior suites to 3 bedroom pool villas.

A fantastic location for wedding or vow renewal.

The 18 hole Mont Choisy, the newest championship golf course in North Mauritius, guests can enjoy exclusive access and reduced green fees, transfers and VIP service and only a 5 minute drive away from the resort.

Shandrani

Located on the clear waters of the blue Bay marine park on the unspoiled south of the island with three palm fringed beaches. The marine park is ideal for snorkeling, water skiing and sailing with many water and land sports complimentary. Beachcombers closest hotel to the airport, only 4 miles away and just a 15 minute transfer – ideal after

the long flight. The hotel has 327 rooms, 4 restaurants  and all inclusive from the moment you arrive until you leave regardless of check in and check out times.

A great hotel for families, weddings and honeymoons, complimentary kids clubs and wifi – this is a firm favourite with families and couples in a stunning location, fine dining and a superb all inclusive package.

Shandrani has its own sport and nature programme with excursions available to explore the islands unique wildlife, also a visit to the 60 acre wildlife sanctuary of llle aux Aigrettes is a must.

Dinarobin

Situated on the private Le Morne Peninsula, undoubtedly the most scenic setting on the island, set midst tranquil tropical gardens  and the majestic Le Morne Mountain in the backdrop. An all suite hotel, 172 suites and 3 villas, this is ideal for families and couples alike, the hotel boasts 4 restaurants of its own Plus the 4 available in Paradis.

An abundance of leisure activities available including the superb 18 hole Paradis championship golf course, many complimentary land and water sports and the beautiful beachcomber spa, one of the best on the island.

Mauricia

This Fun, vibrant and friendly resort on the doorstep of Grand Baie, great for young honeymooners, families. Mauricia lies beside a calm lagoon, a tropical haven where you can stretch out on a sun kissed beach, great dining with 2 restaurants in the hotel and half board / all inclusive as your meal plan. You can also dine nearby in the beautiful Canonnier and Victoria resorts. Many complimentary watersports on offer, wifi and kids clubs Grande Baie is only a short stroll away with the many shops, restaurants and evening entertainment to keep you entertained.
