Azamara Pursuit
First, let me say, I have not enjoyed trying to keep secret what I am about to tell but Azamara instructed no press before today, the official first sailing.
The rush is over, and the job is finished. Azamara Pursuit has spent 4 months in Belfast and completed a transition which is one to marvel at.
I was lucky enough to be invited on-board for a preview cruise for a few days before anyone else in the WORLD got to see this ship. All I can say is WAOW.
From the moment you walk on the staff are friendly and efficient. There is ample staff to take care of your every need and nothing is too much hassle for anyone.
Not only was I very lucky to get invited and to bring a plus one but I soon found after we boarded that we had been upgraded to a suite! I’m sure if you take a minute to look at our pictures you’ll see it is beautiful. The cabin is modern and sleek but with plenty of space and home comforts. We received a bottle of champagne on arrival alongside some chocolates and a bowl of fruit which was refilled every day. We also had our own mini bar of which everything was included. A spacious balcony allowed plenty of space for us to enjoy our complimentary treats before we went out to explore the ship.
Azamara Pursuit in general felt very spacious and relaxed. There is a lot of seating anywhere in the ship including the deck and pool area. Seating became a bit of a private joke as we have never experienced so many different types of nice chairs that were all so comfortable in each area of the ship.
The public areas around the shops and cafes were all spotlessly clean and incredibly welcoming.
Now to my favourite parts, the dining! We spent our first night in the speciality restaurant Prime C. I think regardless of anything I would go back just for this. It was superb. Each table sits by the window and the food is delicious. One for the steak lover!
The other speciality dining option is Mediterranean influenced. We had a look around and all the reports we heard was that it was just as good as Prime C.
A big thing that I judge cruise ships on now is the general main dining. Discoveries did not disappoint. A 4-course meal every evening with house wines that change every day is sure to keep any of us excited and full?!
I have so much more I could say about this ship as I really did enjoy it but look through the pictures and give us a call if there is anything else you would like to know.
